We strive to develop products and services that everyone can use. That is why we focus on the accessibility of our website, apps, products, and services.
By accessibility, we mean that products and services are designed and built in such a way that everyone can use them smoothly and independently. To achieve this, we rely on our customers' user experience and accessibility guidelines.
TADAAM is committed to complying with the accessibility requirements of the European Accessibility Act (EU Directive 2019/882) and the associated Belgian legislation.
And digital accessibility?
We aim for our websites and apps to comply with the international WCAG guidelines (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines).
We base our approach on the four principles of digital accessibility:
Can everyone understand the content?
Can everyone see, read, and hear the content?
Are there different ways to navigate through the content?
Is the content compatible with other technologies?
We strive for inclusive designs, understandable content, and user-friendly experiences for our customers. Because if we remove a barrier for one person, we make it easier for everyone.
Collecting feedback
In the future, we will invite various advocacy groups to test the user experience of our website and products. They shared their feedback and involved their networks to gather additional insights.
Expert checks
Digital accessibility experts help us with checks of our website and more.
Expert training
Our employees receive training from organizations with expertise in accessibility to work consciously and actively on an accessible website.
Accessibility testing
We design our products and services with accessibility in mind and regularly test whether everyone can use them smoothly.
This statement describes how we make our website, apps, products, and services accessible to everyone. To this end, we follow the European Accessibility Act (EU Directive 2019/882) and the associated Belgian legislation.
Accessibility Guidelines
The European Accessibility Act (EAA) has been in force since June 28, 2025. It refers to the international WCAG guidelines for digital accessibility. These standards apply to new digital content, such as web pages and online applications. The global standard is the AA level. At Telenet, we are also working towards that level.
Towards accessibility
We list what we are already doing to make our products and services accessible and what we are still working on. Together with our partners, we evaluate our services to see how we can do better.
The accessibility of our offering
Our website contains an overview and description of the products and services we offer. You can find more information about how they work on the specific product pages. In collaboration with our suppliers, we ensure that our products and services can be used as much as possible by people with disabilities, with the aid of assistive devices and technologies.
Below, you will first find some examples of how this is reflected in our offering, followed by how we address this structurally.

Concrete examples of our accessible solutions
We only use text and images with sufficient contrast and clear fonts, ensuring maximum visibility.
All content is described as text. Text can be displayed visually, audibly, and tactilely. As a result, information can be presented in a format that best suits user needs.
On-screen information can be transmitted to assistive devices such as screen readers.
We ensure that text can be displayed in enlarged format. Users select their font size via the system settings.
It is predictable what happens after an action. We prevent the screen from jumping upon focus or input, which can be confusing. We keep the navigation in the same place on every screen. Our icons have the same function on every screen. This way, users know where to navigate and what theycan expect.
Accessibility is one of the acceptance conditions when developing new components for the website and app.
The invoices and instructions you receive for our services are clearly legible and compatible with assistive devices and software (such as text-to-speech functions).
Both the web version and the digital environment (MyTADAAM) used to clarify billing have been made accessible to ensure they are clearly legible *and* compatible with assistive devices and software.

Concrete examples of our accessible solutions
Our TV boxes are easy to install and operate: good contrast between text and background and optimized font size and line spacing ensure a comfortable reading experience.
Our TV platform includes features that support your sensory user experience and allow you to personalize content display. For example, there is voice guidance for our program guide, voice control, a high-contrast mode, and customizable subtitles.
Our TV box packaging is easy to open and contains clearly legible installation instructions.
We provide a digital step-by-step guide that assists users with the installation of their TV box. This can be found by scanning the QR code on the enclosed leaflet.
To make our packaging even more accessible, a project is underway to revise and improve the design, including increasing text contrast. This is how we tackle it

What are we still working on?
Preparation and planning
Looking for ways to showcase our efforts regarding accessibility.
Completing the accessibility plan for the TV platform.
Checking products and packaging
Checking the packaging and manuals for our devices.
Checking our modems with the supplier.
Adjustments to our channels and devices
Adjusting PDFs and emails regarding invoices so that they are readable by various screen readers, for example. In doing so, sufficient color contrast was taken into account for readability, and extra blank lines were added to make the text-to-speech more accessible. Important information listed on the invoice (in the ‘Extra Information’ box) has been outlined more clearly, and titles and contrasts have been made more legible. Adapting web pages with, for example, alternative text for images and sufficient color contrast for better readability.
Adapting internal communication and campaigns by, for example, using understandable and simple language.
Adapting our TV platform and the TADAAM TV app.
